India got a big blow from America.
India's last attempt to save preferential trade status with America also failed. On the last day of the ban on the General System of Preferences (GSP) status, 25 US lawmakers wrote a letter to American business representative Robert Lighthouse asking for the avoidance of the verdict. India's preferential status ceased from May 3 when no response was received. It will be negotiated after the formation of a new government in India.
